The teams that have qualified for the playoffs are listed on the right side of each division page. Four teams in each division will compete in the playoffs starting on August 16. The playoff position (when known) for each team will appear after the team name.

Reminder – RMSL All Star Weekend 2010

This year we will be bringing the All Star Festivities back to Reading.

Game Format:
Any RMSL player is free to participate – no matter team or division. We will be putting all player names in a hat, then drawing a random number of teams based on numbers. Each team will have the same number of D1, D2, D3, D4, D5 players for parity sake. This will then be a single elimination tournament with a consolation game. Entry fee will be $20 – this will cover your participation.

*NOTE: Currently we have a great representation for all 5 leagues. Keep in mind all levels of play will be represented!

Home Run Derby:

Round One – 10 outs
Semi Finals – 7 outs (Top 5 will participate)
Finals – 5 outs (Top 3 will participate)
Entry fee will be $20 ($15 if you participate in the All Star game as well)
Prize: Winner will take 50% of collected entry fees. Remaining fees will go to charity. In past years, winners have taken home over $100! We will be using unsanctioned softballs – aka rocks that fly and make non-HR hitters power hitters! Lefties will have a temporary fence. We encourage anyone and everyone to signup.

*NOTE: I received the HR Derby balls the other day – let’s just say Birch Meadow School has a chance to be hit. Can you say Titlist Golf Balls in a softball form?

Please be patient as we work through some technical difficulties with the times on the schedules.

They are technically right, we are trying to standardize to a 12-hour clock while some are displaying 24-hour.

Preseason Notes

UPCOMING COACHES MEETINGS

February 15

Opening day scheduled for May 2

  • All meetings start at 7pm at American Legion in Reading Center.
  • Attendance is MANDATORY! Every team must have a representative present. If your team is not represented, you will be fined $20 per meeting. Fines must be paid (money in hand) prior to playing first scheduled game. If fines are not paid, your team will forfeit until paid in full. We have many teams looking to enter the league – please take these meetings seriously.
  • Your rep must be present for entire time of meeting. Meetings usually last 30 minutes to 1hr.

2010 LEAGUE FEES

Returning teams: $830.00 If you pay on time *and* have a representative at each league meeting (4) you will receive a $100.00 discount. New Teams: $980.00 If you pay on time and have a representative at each league meeeting (4) you will receive a $100.00 discount.

Teams that had a forfeit in 2009 will have to pay $50.00 per forfeit. This fee is due (money in hand) prior to playing your first scheduled game. If fines are not
paid, your team will forfeit until paid in full.
